In case any individual, organization or an institution is willing to organize an event, with relevance to the key priority areas of the R&D Fund Company, the organizer will use the Event Management Form as an application for the funding of the particular event.  These events (conferences, workshops, seminars, and exhibitions) are expected to achieve the following goals in the discipline in which the event is being organized.

1.   Facilitate creation of joint development and research projects between foreign and local experts;

2.   Disseminate knowledge and latest development, research and market trends to students, professionals, practitioners and academicians.

a)   The venue for the event should be selected to maximize students’ participation when appropriate, e.g., university campuses are preferred venues over hotels.  

3.   Create new and strengthen existing industry academia linkages.

4.   Take Pakistan towards recognition as a source of international quality expertise.

b)   Events should be recognized by international professional associations like IEEE, ACM, SIAM etc.

c)   Events that cover a large breath of topics and lack depth and focus are unlikely to be funded.

5.   Near and Short term value creation for stake holders.

The Event Proposal Form will be completed by the Event Organizer at any time during the year. The application should be submitted not less than 3 months before the commencement of the event.
