Islamabad, September 06, 2010: Ministry of Information
Technology through National ICT R&D Fund has donated over 1500
kits; each comprising of a carrying case, two notebooks and pens
and a manual containing the course content and the methodology
to solve MCQ based university entrance exam at F. Sc. level.
The manual has
been explicitly designed to aid students in preparation for the
MCQ based university entrance exam for various ICT disciplines.
National ICT R&D Fund has been executing a national scholarship
program, centric to ICT disciplines only and has awarded
scholarships on merit to more than 1500 students, to-date, for a
4-year undergraduate program in ICT disciplines in various
national universities.
Representatives
from Edhi Trust, SOS Children’s Village and Anjuman Faizul-Islam
were present to accept the donation. Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed Bhatti,
Member Telecom, Ministry of IT, made these donations on behalf
of National ICT R&D Fund, Ministry of IT.
It is hoped
that through these educational kits, which have been prepared by
subject experts in their relevant fields, children associated
with these organizations would gain tremendous benefit in their
efforts to gain admission in undergraduate programs in various
national universities.
