ISLAMABAD: National ICT R&D Fund sponsored P@SHA ICT Awards
2011. Most creative minds from ICT industries and academia
attended the award distribution ceremony hosted by the Pakistan
Software Houses Association for IT and ITES (PASHA).
The awards aim to provide acknowledgement and appreciation to
the new ICT startup companies and to foster the ICT industry and
learning in Pakistan. The awards were set for 25 different
categories. More than 100 entries were received for the
nominations in different ICT categories. 2011.
Later, Dr. Syed
Aun Abbas Zaidi, CEO National ICT R&D Fund, while addressing the
august house said, that the Fund is all out to help promote the
R&D in the local ICT industry, “come talk to us and we are there
to work with you hand and glove. We have simplified the
solicitation and evaluation process. Mr. Ahmed Afzal has joined
the Fund as GM Solicitation and Evaluation who is very energetic
and will be there to outreach all the stakeholders.”

R&D Funded project “Arrythmia & Sudden Death Syndrome Detection
got the winner award in the e-Health Applications Category. Dr.
Shoab from CARE received the award.
All winners were later requested to sign a board dubbed as “Wall
of Fame”.
