eHAP Meeting held at National ICT R&D Fund

ISLAMABAD – February 08th, 2012. A meeting was held between management of National ICT R&D Fund and members of the board of eHealth Association of Pakistan (eHAP) on February 8th, 2012 at the office of the Fund. CEO, National ICT R&D Fund, Dr. Syed Aun Abbas while chairing the meeting appreciated eHAP’s role in promotion of eHealth in Pakistan. Dr. Aun expressed commitment of the Fund in national level implementations of eHealth in Pakistan, and its planned interventions in this connection. He also suggested that eHAP should formulate a draft national eHealth strategy and action plan, which can then be further improved through engagement of relevant stakeholders. eHAP was also encouraged to put forward viable project proposals for funding. Board members of eHAP appreciated Fund’s achievement and plans regarding eHealth. They also agreed to Dr. Aun’s suggestions in this connection. It was decided that both National ICT R&D Fund and eHAP will closely work together in the eHealth area.
