At present the National ICT R&D fund has several initiatives focused at providing education and training opportunities to our young citizens. In 2006, a pilot program with a title "Outreach scholarship Program " was launched. Through this program 200 best students were awarded a four years scholarship in a leading university. In 2007, the number of scholarships has been increased to 600.

Providing specialized professional training to young engineers is extremely important for achieving our goals. We have an industry apprenticeship program. Under this program well established IT and Telecom companies give jobs to young graduates in ICT related fields.

ICT Centric University Excellence Program is aimed at enhancing the capacity of the teaching faculty of the Computer Science and Information Technology departments of various public and private sector universities.
