ICT Centric
University Excellence Program
In July 2007, National ICT
R&D Fund had launched an ICT Centric University Excellence Programme
in collaboration with Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
This is the first programme in a series of programmes aimed at
enhancing the capacity of the teaching faculty of the Computer
Science and Information Technology departments of various public
and private sector universities.
A total of 45
participants from 18 universities had attended a 4-week intensive
training with a focus on improving their knowledge base and skills
to impart better quality education at bachelors level programmes.
The main components of the programme were a) Data Structures and
Algorithms, b) Object-Oriented Programming, c) Pedagogical
Approaches and d) Final Project.
