announces

National ICT Scholarship Program 2010
FOR A PROSPEROUS PAKISTAN


National ICT R&D Fund is offering fully funded scholarships for talented students from rural/non-metropolitan areas of Pakistan with the objective to develop human resource capacity in ICT fields in Pakistan. The National ICT Scholarship Program 2010 (NICTSP 2010) will provide fully funded 4 year undergraduate degree scholarships in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) related disciplines in the top ICT universities of Pakistan, and hence enhance capacity in the best ICT related educational institutions.

The Government of Pakistan plans to expand the program this year by increasing the outreach by including twelve more universities to provide students access to more quality educational institutions of their choice.

National ICT R&D Fund plans to enhance National ICT Scholarship Program 2010 by awarding even more scholarships in the future.

National ICT R&D Fund will also facilitate Training of Teachers and Foundation Training for students to enhance the skills needed for attempting aptitude based university admission tests. Students will later appear for a customized MCQ based aptitude test called "National ICT-Scholarship Award Test".

This program is run with the financial collaboration of Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) of Government of Pakistan.

National ICT R&D Fund’s objective is to develop human resource capacity in ICT fields by providing equal opportunities to the talented students of rural/non-metropolitan areas of Pakistan.
