National ICT Scholarship Program 2010

List of Participating Universities:

List of universities that have decided to enroll in National ICT Scholarship Program 2010 is given below:

1. International Islamic University, Islamabad

2. Institute of Business Administration, Sukkur

3. Pakistan Institute of Engineering & Applied Sciences (PIEAS), Nilore, Islamabad

4. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur

5. Hamdard University, Karachi

6. Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan

7. GC University, Lahore

8. University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar

9. Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro

10. University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore

11. University of Peshawar, Peshawar

The following criteria were used to select the above-mentioned universities to be included in National ICT Scholarship program for the year 2010.

1. Large public and non profit universities.

2. Should be willing to pay 20% of the total cost of each student for four years.

3. Rated highly by Higher Education Commission (HEC) in ICT related disciplines through HEC’s approved accreditation councils (NCEAC / PEC).

4. Should have adequate on-campus hostel facilities or plans to provide such facilities in near future.

5. Should be willing to participate in the design of a unified entrance test and admit students based on this unified test.

6. Should be willing to participate in formulating the students' selection criteria under the program.
